Two Story House

The first house we built with the first model IGLEO blocks was this small family house. We made it to see if it would work and to identify what developments were needed with the blocks.

Johan and I started with a small sketch and first placed fixing the wooden floor. Then we built the first floor from blocks, small electricity tubes, wooden beams and iron wire rods. This was the first opportunity to test  how to estimate the tension of the rods and the thickness of the horizontal beams. When it looked OK, we fixed the wooden ceiling/floor. The second floor was constructed with a scaffold. After two weeks our first roof panels were lifted to the top. These prefab panels were quite heavy; by far the heaviest part of the building.
